1 Killed in Chollas Creek Stabbing

A man was stabbed to death in Chollas Creek early Sunday morning, police confirmed.

Homicide Unit detectives said the fatal stabbing occurred on the 5000 block of Sterling Court around 5:30 a.m.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 34-year-old male victim in front of a home suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was transported to a hospital, but died at 7:12 a.m., police said.

β€œWe’re trying to determine what actually occurred, but we do know that we have a male who has been stabbed several times,” said Lt. Darryl Hoover at the scene.

According to investigators, the victim was involved in a fight in front one of the homes on Sterling Court, though it is still unknown who he was fighting with or why he was fighting.

Police said there is no suspect description at this time. The motive behind the stabbing remains unknown.

The victim’s name has not yet been released.
