Three men, one armed with a machete, tried to break into a Golden Hill residence around 6:30 a.m. Saturday, according to the San Diego Police Department.
One person inside the home at 20th and C Street was injured and is bleeding, SDPD said.
Officers and medics are at the scene, evaluating the injury.
The suspects are still outstanding.
