Swine Flu Kills Two More in San Diego

County health officials report another pair of deaths due to the H1N1 virus.

The latest victims are two women, 89 and 55, according to authorities said. Both victims had underlying medical conditions. The younger victim was not a resident of San Diego County.

Officials said Wednesday that 492 people in San Diego County have been hospitalized for the pandemic H1N1 influenza. They also said the deaths of 28 local residents and four people from outside the area were attributable to the swine flu.

Anybody with a flu-like illness or symptoms that include fever, coughing, a sore throat, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue is urged to stay home from work or school for at least 24 hours after the fever has gone without the use of fever-reducing medicine.
