Firefighters stood on street corners this morning, wearing their hats and holding out their boots, asking for donations to help fight muscular dystrophy.
The San Diego Fire Department has reunited with the Muscular Dystrophy Association for its Fill-the-Boot program.
Drivers stopped at intersections from Front Street to La Jolla Parkway helped raise money that will stay in San Diego and Imperial Counties to benefit those affected by the disease.
