County Offers Mass H1N1 Vaccinations

The County Health and Human Services Agency is offering free H1N1 vaccination events for county residents.The vaccine, once offered only to protected groups, is now available to everyone, regardless of age.

The first mass vaccinatoin event is scheduled for Friday 2 to 8 p.m. at Qualcomm Stadium.

Individuals should contact their health care provider to schedule an appointment to receive the vaccine, according to the county's informational web site. If your health care provider does not have H1N1 vaccine and has not ordered it, clinics will be held in the following days:

The H1N1 vaccine is given to you in either a nasal spray or a shot. In general, nasal spray is not given to people with certain ongoing medical problems.
