The adult film industry should follow the same regulations as hospitals when it comes to blood-borne diseases, according to a the AIDS Healthcare Foundation.
The group will go before state regulators Thursday to push for condom requirements during the filming of adult films. The AIDS Healthcare Foundation said the industry is not complying with safety rules.
The foundation sued LA County earlier this year. It alleges that public health officials did not prevent the spread of sexually transmitted diseases and enforce laws that require employers to protect workers.
The California Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board will hear the foundation's argument.
