West Nile Virus Mosquito Fogging Planned in San Jose Tuesday Night

Crews in the South Bay will be out in full force Tuesday night trying to get rid of the West Nile virus.

Starting at 11 p.m., ground fogging will take place around San Jose's Willow Glen neighborhood and parts of Campbell. The job is expected to last for several hours.

Santa Clara Vector Control said the insecticide is not toxic to humans or animals.

The fogging is coming after some adult mosquitoes infected with West Nile were discovered in the area last week.
