Driver, Passenger in Custody After High-Speed OC Chase

The driver blew through intersections, drove on sidewalks, sped on the wrong side of the road and drove through a McDonald's drive-thru as patrol cars followed behind.

The driver of a possibly stolen car was taken into custody Friday night after leading police on a high-speed chase through Orange County streets.

The chase began about 4:35 p.m. after a white Honda was reported stolen, according to Santa Ana police.

The driver blew through intersections, drove on sidewalks, sped on the wrong side of the road and drove through a McDonald's drive-thru as patrol cars followed behind.

Aerial video showed the female driver and female passenger jump out of the car after slowing down before being taken into custody about 5:10 p.m. in a residential neighborhood.
