Sneak Peek of Disneyland “Star Wars” Land in Newly Released Image

Disney broke ground on the Star Wars- themed land in April.

The Millennium Falcon peeks out amid rocky spires in an image Disney unveiled on Monday of its "Star Wars" themed land, still in its first few months of construction.

The artist rendering can be seen on the fence along Big Thunder Trail in Frontierland, which is set to function as an eventual gateway to Star Wars land, according to the Disney Parks Blog.

It depicts buildings embedded in lush greenery, on what Disney has described as a "never-before-seen planet."

Visitors at the new themed land will have a chance to pilot the Millennium Falcon. The park will also have an attraction that puts people "in the middle of a climactic battle between the First Order and the Resistance," according to an August blog post from Disney Parks.

Disney broke ground in April on its Star Wars-themed lands, which are headed to the Disneyland Resort in California and Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. They are set to take up 14 acres each, making them the largest single-themed expansions in both locations.

Several Disneyland attractions were closed in the beginning of this year in preparation for the new addition.
