A 37-year-old man was shot and killed in a North Hills suspected road rage incident and police asked for the public’s help in finding the people responsible.
Around 7:20 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to a report of shots being fired at the intersection of Van Nuys Boulevard and Plummer Street, according to LAPD. When they arrived, they found a man near a car with gunshot wounds.
He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators said the man was involved in a road rage incident with unknown suspects. One of those suspects fired a gun at the victim.
Surveillance video from a nearby business showed the victim’s white Toyota Tacoma making a left-hand turn at the intersection. At the same time, a small light-colored sedan also made a left-hand turn, appearing to try to get ahead of the truck.
Seconds later, the truck rolls back into the intersection.
Residents in the neighborhood said the intersection is a busy one, especially during the evening commute.

“I can say I've had my own encounters, driving or just going on the bus,” said Jonathan Serrano, who lives nearby. “There's altercations. Why pick and choose, when you're just trying to get home to your family.”
The victim has not been publicly identified, pending notification of his family, but was a resident of Winnetka, police said.
There was another shooting about a mile from the scene of the altercation that left two people injured. Investigators could not say if the two incidents were possibly related.
