Authorities Take ‘Armed, Dangerous' Driver Into Custody After Wilmington Pursuit

Police were pursuing a driver they called "armed and dangerous" in the Wilmington area Saturday afternoon before the suspect pulled over and surrendered.

The driver was traveling at moderate speeds on surface streets in the Wilmington area before entering the southbound 110 Freeway.

The California Highway Patrol was working with the LAPD as the driver exited Channel Street in San Pedro.

Streets were slick from earlier rain, and the driver blew through multiple red lights.

LAPD Harbor Division said the driver was considered "armed and dangerous," but didn't elaborate.

The driver came to stop in a driveway on Broad Street north of Anaheim Boulevard in the Wilmington area.
