One person was killed Thursday Aug. 27, 2015 in a plane crash near Llano.
One person was killed Thursday afternoon when a small plane crashed in a field in the high desert north of Los Angeles.
The midday crash was reported near Pearblossom Highway and 165th Street in Llano, near the San Bernardino County border. The plane, a single-engine Piper PA25, appeared to be a model that tows gliders from nearby Crystal Airport.
The pilot was the only person on board, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
Details regarding the crash were not immediately available.
