Paul Walker's Daughter Files Wrongful Death Lawsuit Against Porsche

Paul Walker’s daughter Meadow is suing Porsche for wrongful death, claiming that the carmaker failed to equip the vehicle the actor died in — the Carrera GT — with proper safety mechanisms.

The “Fast & Furious” actor, along with friend and driver Roger Rodas, died in a fiery crash in Valencia in November 2013 after Rodas lost control of the car and slammed into a tree.

Questions about the car’s safety surfaced soon after the crash, and the company has settled at least one lawsuit that alleged the half-a-million dollar supercar had a design flaw that caused poor handling.

The lawsuit was filed for Meadow, who was 15 at the time of the crash, by her guardian.

Investigators earlier said they believed the car was going nearly 100 mph before the crash, but the lawsuit filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court alleges that it was traveling between 63 and 71 mph.

The lawsuit also alleges that the cars, which had a 5.7-liter V-10 engine, can sway with the smallest destabilization — a pothole, road markers — because it lacks an electronic stability control system.

Allegations also include an alleged defect in the car’s seat belt restraints trapped Walker into the car for more than a minute before the fire erupted, and broke his ribs and pelvis.

It also points to the lack of break-free fittings to automatically shut down the flow of fuel, which the lawsuit alleges caused the fatal fire.

“Absent these defects in the Porsche Carrera GT, Paul Walker would be alive today,” according to the claim.

Meadow Walker was Paul Walker's only child.
