Horse and Two Women Rescued From Mud Near Hansen Dam

A horse and a rider walked away after getting stuck in the mud near Hansen Dam Tuesday evening thanks to the work of rescue crews.

The woman riding the horse was rescued first, according to City News Service, with crews taking more time to rescue the large animal trapped in the mud. As firefighters were rescuing the horse, a woman with a camera managed to get also get stuck in the mud nearby.

While the woman with the camera waited for rescue crews, she decided to take a cigarette out of her bag and light up.

A smaller crew of firefighters worked to free the woman with the camera, while the larger crew worked to simultaneously rescue the horse.

Both sets of rescues appeared to be successful, as the woman with the camera and the horse both walked away thanks to the firefighters.
