Fremont Pizza Man Attacks, Disarms Robber

A Domino's pizza worker has a new title: hero.

An attempted robbery at a Domino's Pizza in Fremont was foiled by a Domino's employee, who "beat the suspect into submission," according to reports.

A few minutes past midnight on Thursday, police were called to a Domino's location to respond to a robbery, according to Bay Area News Group.

They arrived to find no robbery in progress and a disarmed robber in the custody of a pizza worker.

A male juvenile had "held" two employees with a .22-caliber pistol to one of their heads and was waiting for the store's safe to open when one of the employees overpowered him, according to police.

The would-be thief was "checked at a hospital" and then booked into Juvenile Hall.
