A brush fire broke out Friday night near Mount Baldy in Angeles National Forest and quickly scorched as many as 30 acres amid light winds.
The U.S. Forest Service was the lead agency battling the fire, which was burning in the San Antonio Heights area, but Los Angeles County Fire Department crews were summoned to assist about 7:30 p.m.
Two county fire helicopters were dispatched to conduct water drops. Winds in the area were light.
