Clint Eastwood's Golf Club Manager Arrested for Theft

On Saturday, Monterey County sheriff’s deputies arrested Neil Bentley Morton, 48, of Salinas on charges he stole from Clint Eastwood's golf club

A California golf club manager accused of embezzlement has got to be asking himself, “Do I feel lucky?”

The recent arrest of the manager at Tehama Golf Club in Carmel, Calif. is news not just because of the crime but because of the victim.

Actor Clint Eastwood, who made famous the phrase “Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya punk?” in the movie “Dirty Harry”, owns the private 18-hole course between Carmel Valley and the Monterey Peninsula.

On Saturday, Monterey County sheriff’s deputies arrested course manager Neil Bentley Morton, 48, of Salinas.

Deputies claim Morton embezzled company funds and have charged him with forgery and the theft of $33,622.

A security officer at the club said he could not comment on Sunday, and a message left for the business by the Associated Press was not immediately returned.
