Boy Says He Was Bound, Gagged During Home-Invasion Robbery

A 12-year-old boy said he was tied up and gagged Thursday night during an armed home invasion in the unincorporated Palmdale-area community of Littlerock.

The alleged robbery occurred around 7:20 p.m. in a house at 8920 E. Avenue T-12, said Deputy Monica Alburez of the Los Angeles County sheriff's Palmdale Station.

The boy said three men, at least one of them armed with a handgun, entered the home, tied him up and ransacked the place, Alburez said.

Palmdale Sheriff’s deputies later that morning said they were questioning the boy’s statements after speaking with him and his mother, and are classifying the crime as "suspicious circumstances."

"They said that they were just going to kill me and stuff if I refused," the boy said.

The boy told a news photographer the suspects used rope and cords from video games and appliances to tie him up and put a pillowcase in his mouth so he could not call for help.

Alburez said he was not hurt.

Descriptions of the suspects were not available and it was unclear what, if anything the suspects took from the home and how long they were inside the residence.
