Home Repair Company to Pay Millions

In what's considered the worst consumer fraud case in the state in more than 20 years, a home repair company has allegedly defrauded 6,000 Californians out of millions of dollars.

Now the company is getting a taste of their own medicine.

The Contractor's State License Board has ordered the company SRVS to pay $3 million in penalties and restitution for defrauding thousands of consumers in Southern California, the Bay Area, and Sacramento.

Attorney General Jerry Brown filed a multi-million dollar lawsuit in San Diego County, shutting down SRVS and their dishonest business practices. Home repair services such as electrical, plumbing, AC and heating repair, were done by unlicensed workers at inflated prices.

SRVS used 13 business names including Love My Home, American Home Repairs, 59 Minute Service, and others.

Consumers who were victimized by these home repair firms over the past four years may be eligible for restitution.
