The bean counters at San Diego Gas & Electric have to repay $124 million to customers.
The California Public Utilities Commission approved the refunds to SDG&E customers because of an overcollection. About 60 percent of the utility's customers will get a refund ranging from a few dollars to a few hundred dollars. The average credit per customer will be 71 dollars.
Customers getting refunds will see them reflected as credits on their October bill.
