Major Cruise Lines Skipping Mexican Ports

Several cruise lines plan to avoid ports in Mexico at all costs because of swine flu bug

No more port in Mexico. Cruise lines will steer clear of swine flu ground zero until they get an all clear.

Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Norwegian cruise lines have suspended all stops to Mexican port cities in an effort to stop the spread of the potentially deadly swine flu.

Meanwhile, Cuba has suspended all flights from the island country to Mexico, the first nation to do so.
"Like our guests, we take all health matters seriously," said Dr. Art Diskin, chief medical officer for Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd, based in Miami.
The cancelled cruise stops Tuesday left several cruise ships out to sea with no place to go.
Cruise ships set to go out to sea are stocking up on anti-viral medication and passengers will likely receive constant reminders about washing their hands and other precautions to not spread any virus.

Medical masks haven't been added to passenger goody bags yet, but we're sure it would be a welcome gift.
