San Diego's historic Giant Dipper roller coaster has been around for nearly a century, offering riders twists, turns and breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean.
The ride, located inside Belmont Park in Mission Beach, opened to the public on July 4, 1925. Today, it's one of only two remaining antique roller coasters in California.
Looking back at the attraction's history one could say its life has, fittingly, been filled with both ups and downs.
