Air guitar is so '90s -- the search is on now for San Diego's best lip-sync performance.
Contestants will be competing at Canes Bar and Grill in Mission Beach every Tuesday night until July 21. The winner of the grand finale will represent San Diego in a new television series called "America's Lip Sync Star."
Contestants will be judged on ability, appearance, use of the microphone and audience response. Hopefuls will enter each night of the contest at 7 p.m., then start faking it at 8 p.m.
