You’re invited: To a family outing at the 310-acre, Ponte Family Estate Winery in the heart of Temecula Wine Country. Although only a short drive away from S.D., it’s far enough to feel like vacation has officially begun.
Picture this: Sipping vino under the stars in wine country, while the little ones are entertained by Monsters vs. Aliens. Monster and aliens as kiddie entertainment? Strange, but true, just ask Dream Works. Trust me, the fam is going to love it.
Also: A wine bar for adults, an ice cream bar for the kids, and plenty of popcorn, watermelon and candy to go around. Go ahead and splurge. You deserve it.
Save the date: July 9th at 7:30 p.m. The movie starts at 8:15 p.m.
Cost: Admission is free, but donations are encouraged.
Run for your money: Donations will indirectly go toward a 24-hour home for children recovering from abuse called the Oak Grove Center. All proceeds from the movie night will go to Team Ponte, a team of employees and community members running in America’s Finest City Half Marathon and 5K in San Diego, which benefits the center. There's nothing like a win-win.
Come prepared: Chairs will be provided, but blankets are recommended.
