12/9: Music, Booze & Shopping

THE ULTIMATE SHOPPING EXPERIENCE: In the worst of times, local vendors are trying to give San Diegans the best of deals. Enjoy a night of fashion, primping, raffle prizes and more with gal pals at the Park Row Clubhouse downtown. Some of the specials include waxing and other services, trendy clothing, exotic dance lessons and your chance to make your own holiday cards for free. The event starts at 6 p.m. Get all your holiday shopping done—or just pamper yourself—at a discounted price.

ALL THAT JAZZ: The indie, soul Tokeli Band is playing their world groove music at Anthology at 7:30 p.m. Tokeli is a young bohemian brunette whose sultry pipes compare to the jazzy sounds of Norah Jones. One thing she has that Jones doesn't? The ability to sing in English, Portuguese and French. Tickets range from $7 to $12.

DRINK UP THE FUNNY: Comedian Zane Lamprey is playing at the Belly Up at 8 p.m. As host of travel program, “Three Sheets” on Fine Living Network, he travels around the globe and drinks. As Lamprey drinks with the locals, viewers learn about the culture, spirit and people of the region. His one-man comedy show called “Drinking Made Easy” will showcase all-things-booze. Tickets are $18.
