Wade Named MWC Co-Player of Week

San Diego State forward Lorrenzo Wade has been named Mountain West Conference Men's Basketball Co-Player of the Week, the league announced Monday, according to a release from San Diego State University.

Wade shares the honor with Utah's Luke Nevill.

The Aztec senior helped his team to a pair of victories this week including one on the road, pushing the team into a three-way tie for first place in the conference. He averaged 21.5 points for the week.

Wade was suspended from the team in October 2008 by San Diego State basketball coach Steve Fisher after he was accused of burglary.  He was cleared of the charges by a judge in December 2008. Read article here.

Wade was a first-team All-Mountain West Conference pick last season, when he was San Diego State's leading scorer with an average of 14.8 points.
