The community of Tierrasanta will host the second annual 5K “Fun Run” on Saturday, a casual event open to runners, walkers, kids, families and pets.
The 3.1-mile community run begins at 8 a.m. on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard near Tierrasanta Lutheran Church.
The course will run west on Clairemont Mesa Blvd. and around the De Portola athletic fields before veering onto Santo Road. The finish line is at the Tierrasanta Recreation Center back on Clairemont Mesa Blvd.
After reaching the 5K finish line, participants 21 years of age and older are invited to visit a free beer garden hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Tierrasanta.
