When you think zip line, you probably think cruise excursion. In San Diego, you can take a zipline over wild animals. The Flightline at the San Diego Safari Park (formerly known as the Wild Animal Park) will take you over about 2/3 a mile 160 feet above the ground. Cost is $70 per person. Take the leap from the Bridge to Nowhere. Located off the 210 east of Pasadena. Jump from 10 stories high above a raging river with the only company in California licensed to jump from a bridge. The Giant Dipper Roller Coaster at Belmont Park in Mission Beach runs 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday in January and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sundays. For $6, you get to enjoy a thrilling ride on an old wooden coaster and on a clear day, get a great view of the ocean from up top.

Cedar Creek Falls is one of San Diego County's hidden treasures, tucked back in a tributary of the upper San Diego River. Hiking distance is 4.5 miles out and back. Plan for the hike to take close to 3 hours.

Get your thrills when crossing the suspension bridge at Spruce Street near First Avenue. The old bridge is located in a secluded area of Hillcrest and can give you some great views of the canyons and some of San Diego’s skyline.
