You're going to need a couple of energy drinks for this show: Thrice, the Used, Circa Survive, Sum 41, Atreyu, Sleeping with Sirens, Andy Black, Memphis May Fire, Meg & Dia, Juliet Simms and Hyro the Hero are all set to take to North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre on July 26 for Rockstar Energy Drink's Disrupt Festival.
Your teenage self must be doing backflips right now.
The festival is shaping up to be a high adrenaline, no holds barred slugging of alternative post-hardcore and pop-punk -- the aural equivalent of drinking a Rockstar Energy Drink, really.
Thrice, who formed in Irvine in 1998, were recently at House of Blues supporting their newest album, "Palms," which dominated the U.S. charts upon its release. They've never wavered from their experimental roots, and it's nice to see it continue to pay off.
While Utah's the Used were recently at SDCCU Stadium in June for Warped Tour, they headlined the House of Blues just a year earlier, proving why they've stayed relevant -- and hit gold and platinum status numerous times -- since 2001.
Circa Survive's Anthony Green never seems to stop working, which kind of makes you wonder whether he's got a lifetime supply of Rockstar or something.
Sum 41, well, we're "in too deep" to ever stop listening to "All Killer No Filler."
