San Diego film buffs will be happy to know there’s a new place to get cultured poolside.
Those who treasure The Pearl hotel know it best for free movie Wednesdays, but now the boutique hotel is opening up its screen to documentaries.
Beginning Jan. 19, The Pearl will start airing documentaries every third Thursday of the month.
The first flick, “The Art of Flight” is in theme with the season. The snowboarding film featuring Travis Rice will be shown on a 10’ by 13’ screen for optimal viewing pleasure.
Prizes will be handed out at the event, including lift tickets to Snow Summit, Bear Mountain and gift certificates to Sports Chalet.
Screenings are at The Pearl pool on the third Thursday of every month at 8 p.m.
