Sounds Like San Diego: July 9

Soda Bar welcomes Aussie buzz band the Chats, who are in town for a sold-out show

I hope you've had plenty of time to recover and recuperate from a big week in San Diego, but I hate to tell you there's no rest for the wicked. With Pride this week and Comic-Con next week, the amount of events and shows will require some planning and pacing. Tonight, another Aussie act making waves, the Chats, have sold out Soda Bar. If you grabbed tickets, get there early for this one to stake out your spot. Their songs are short and punchy, so don't expect a long set for this one. If you're not on time, you might miss them entirely. Meanwhile, if you can't make the Chats, the Merrow and the Casbah have tickets available for their great local shows (the latter including SoundDiego photographer Tim Fears, who plays in Shoot the Glass). It's a fun night all around, and it might just get you warmed up for the good times ahead.
