It's a busy week in San Diego, but personally I'm going to try to rally back to the Casbah tonight to catch New Zealand native Tamaryn. Her dreamy, breathy vocals backdropped by a shoegazy-goth vibe are just what we need in these gloomy days. Cold Showers open the show, which makes for a great double-get. At Soda Bar, locals the Touchies rock the stage, while Belly Up welcomes the Magpie Salute -- the name itself is an ode to frontman Rich Robinson's days in the Black Crowes. Tim Pyles is back at the Merrow with Getaway 95, Alvino & the Dwells get down for Tiki Tuesday at Bar Pink, and Gouge Away bring noise rock to the Che Cafe.
