Sometimes superheroes can be more than just people. At this year's Comic-Con there will be one attendee who’s hairier than fans dressed up as Chewbacca.
Super dog Roxy will be accompanying his owner Barry Webb through the chaotic crowds at Comic-Con. The Akita and husky breed will be dressed up as Superman’s sidekick “Krypto,” who’s known as the furry friend of the caped hero.
Granted a dog in a hero cape can’t be too intimidating. But his powerful ways will get the job done right.
Roxy is a service dog that has the patience, awareness and alertness to help manage Webb through hoards of people, including crazed fans waiting in line to see Robert Pattinson.
The creative costumes of these service dogs seem to impress numerous of Comic-Con attendees and many times they are asked questions and stopped along the way.
“It is proper etiquette to leave him alone and let him work with his master,” said Webb. “I usually respond to people with something humorous back for entertainment.”
Not only will this event register hundreds of service dogs as heroes, but you can also find all sorts of heroes at Comic-Con from July 12 to 15. The annual event will be held downtown San Diego at the city’s convention center.
Webb doesn’t have tickets for the event yet, but he’s had a good time with Roxy in the past.
“I have been attending Comic-Con for the last six years, and I have had a fantastic experience,” he said. “The Comic Con people are great.”
