At the pinnacle of our boast-worthy summers, is the signature event that is Street Scene. Born in 1984 from a one-block area and a modest two stages, Street Scene’s concept has expanded. More space, more stages, music diversity, food, art, and now, on its 25th Year Anniversary, San Diego is more in love than ever with So Cal’s hottest music festival!
Headlining this year are the purveyors of party jams--The Black Eyed Peas. Get happy for Miss “fly like paper, get high like planes” M.I.A, as well as Thievery Corporation, Silversun Pickups to name a few heavy-hitters. Local favorites like Crocodiles, Grand Ole Party, Anya Marina and so many others will take to the 5 different stages, hosting 40+ bands and acts that will keep you thrilled all weekend long!
The charming neighborhood streets of the East Village will play host to SD’s ultimate block party. So why do we love this area adjacent to Petco Park spanning 13th & 14th Avenues and J, K & L Streets? One word alone speaks (amped) volumes--PARKING! Abundant and plentiful within short walking distance from either of the two event entrances. If driving is not on your bill, then Trolley access is a preferred method of transport, with a stop just outside the Petco parking lot.
The party begins Friday August 28th thru Saturday August 29th, from 4p-Midnight. Two-day passes will set you back about $122+ service charge.
