Chargers' Tomlinson, Gates active for Colts game

San Diego, CA (Sports Network) - The San Diego Chargers had two of their most potent offensive weapons active for Saturday's wild card playoff tilt with Indianapolis, as running back LaDainian Tomlinson and tight end Antonio Gates had been listed as questionable leading up to the game.

Tomlinson, who was dealing with a groin strain after battling through a toe injury all season, had just five carries for 25 yards with a touchdown before sitting out the entire second half.

The loss of the former MVP did not matter, as backup Darren Sproles logged 105 yards on the ground, 45 yards on five catches through the air, and 178 combined return yardage with two touchdowns, including a 22-yard scamper in overtime in San Diego's 23-17 victory over the Colts.

Gates suffered through an ankle injury and posted a team-high eight receptions for 87 yards in the dramatic win.
