If you're like me and live in a house without air conditioning, you are in a constant haze of trying to find places to keep cool. The Casbah is not that place, so be prepared Wednesday for the sold-out show with Man Man and Shilpa Ray. There are some cool spots, however, so if you snagged a ticket to the sold-out show with the Psychedelic Furs and the Church at the Observatory, you'll appreciate the air conditioning the comes up from the floor. (Pro tip: wear shorts or a skirt for extra effect.) Balboa Theatre should be nice and chill, too, with John Hiatt and Taj Majal Trio, as will the Belly Up for Tab Benoit. Soda Bar and Bar Pink will be cool with shows of their own, and the Merrow usually keeps it frigid. Do what you can to support live music, all while beating the heat this Wednesday night.
