Sounds Like San Diego: September 19

The Neighbourhood return to San Diego after five years away with a sold-out show

I remember being invited to the House of Blues to catch the Neighbourhood. It was five years ago, and I remember the way the show stood out. Their fans were obsessed, their image was so defined, and their stage banter and swagger onstage left no doubt that they were going to be big. Here they are, half a decade later, and they've sold out the Observatory North Park. If you have tickets to the show, be sure to get there early for LA buzz band Kid Bloom. Around town, catch Swedish dream-pop from Summer Heart at Soda Bar, local Justin Linn headlines at the Casbah, and self-described "avant pop" band Orchidxmantis is at the Merrow.
