We are in the thick of the weekend, and if you're enjoying the weekend at Kaaboo, be sure to catch some of the locals, like Raelee Nicole and Creature Canyon. My picks for the day include Soul Asylum, Swmrs, Melissa Etheridge and my personal favorite of the day, Better Than Ezra. Man, I listened to their CD so much I had to buy it a second time from all the scratches it got in my Sony Discman. If you're not at Kaaboo, cool down at another free show at Broadstone North Park. Brian Karscig will be playing Convoy, Louis XIV and Nervous Wreckords jams, and there's a pool you can splash in. Plus, the whole thing is free. By nightfall, check out some Redwoods bands at the Casbah, Peaking Lights are playing a special event with A Ship in the Woods and Youth Brigade bring the punk rock angst to Soda Bar.
