Sounds Like San Diego: September 11

Murder By Death's Belly Up show heads up Tuesday live-music action

I always love when Murder By Death comes to San Diego. Usually it's a sold-out show at the Casbah, but with their always-growing fanbase and on the heels of their latest release, "The Other Shore," out on Bloodshot Records, tonight they'll appear at the Belly Up. What makes me particularly excited about this show is that William Elliott Whitmore is opening. The gravel-voiced singer has played at the Casbah a few times, but it's been a handful of years, and he's such a memorable character, it will be great to catch him again. Around town, Lyle Lovett & His Large Band make their annual stop at Humphreys, the Naked I headline the Casbah, and "Game of Thrones" fans can nerd out at the Live Concert Experience at Viejas Arena.
