It's gonna be a blazing weekend, so why not spend the day at the coast? La Jolla Art & Wine Festival takes place on Girard, and Pacific Beachfest is along the boardwalk in PB, but both offer up live music and are free and fun for the whole family. By evening, head to the Irenic to catch the return of Leon, who sold out the Casbah earlier this year, or catch an AMSD show with Dustbowl Revival at Sweetwater High. La Jolla Athenaeum hosts a 100th Birthday Celebration of Thelonious Monk at the Scripps Ranch Institute and mods will flock to the Casbah for the Woggles. And of course, Janet Jackson's tour is in town at Valley View Casino Center.
