Sounds Like San Diego: Oct. 5

Interpol finally return to San Diego Friday with a sold-out show at SDSU's Open Air Theatre

The last time I caught Interpol live, I was waiting for that big line..."How are things on the West Coast?" and it was almost like they were taunting us and then, wouldn't you know it, they never played it. Annoying. I'm giving them another chance to redeem themselves when they play tonight at SDSU's Open Air Theatre. And even if they don't play it, with the Kills and Sunflower Bean opening the show, it should come as no surprise that it is already sold out. Fret not, because you still have some great choices this Friday, like Yoke Lore, who play Soda Bar, or Roky Erickson, who returns to the Casbah. Joe Jack Talcum of Dead Milkmen returns for an early show at Bar Pink and he's super awesome and funny and will play all your requests, and classic rockers America are at Humphreys for all the boomers. It's going to be a good night.
