Thursday brings a battle of punk vs. hardcore, as Pissed Jeans roll into town at the Casbah the same night that Lagwagon kicks off their tour at the House of Blues. Pissed Jeans are one of Sub Pop's bright stars at the moment, while Lagwagon has been doing what they're doing for years. Pretty sure either choice, while distinctly different, will be worth your while. Meanwhile, the Janks perform up at the Loft at UCSD and it feels like it's been a while, so they're worth the campus trek, and U-31 hosts a party with #Culturadura, who curate the best and latest in Latin electronica. This is a pretty awesome night -- and if you want some extra burl in your night, tonight's dark horse show is Deep Sea Thunder Beast, et al, with a slot for the recently resurrected Archons.
