Since the early 2000s, Copeland has been making emotionally driven rock (read the SoundDiego interview with the band). Some fans embrace the music as emo, while others argue it is not, but the important thing is these guys write music that really resonates with fans. At their "Then | Now" show tonight at the Irenic, the band will perform songs new and old, and reimagine some tracks. Joined by a live string section and singer Rae Cassidy, there are limited tickets still available for this special performance. From there, you can head over to the Office for a Dashboard Confessional tribute and really make a night of it. Meanwhile, singer-stoner-songwriter Colleen Green is back at the Hideout and with her sunglasses at night, electric guitar, and drum tracks, she is pretty awesome. Around town, the Lucy Ring is at Belly Up, Smokey Brights is at Soda Bar, and Congo Sanchez of Thievery Corporation is at the Holding Company.
