Sounds Like San Diego: Nov. 13

Replacements bassist Tommy Stinson plays a special show with Chip Roberts

It wasn't that long ago that Tommy Stinson passed through San Diego with a performance at the Casbah, but the legendary Replacements bassist is back in town with a special show at Satellite Amplifiers. Some people say it's supposed to be a secret, but nobody told us to keep it mum. It's an early show, so afterward you can head to Blonde to catch New York's EZTV, once described by Stereogum as "stunningly consistent purveyors of high-level pop-rock with strains of retro folk and psych," and you should get there early because people in the know just might pack the place out. At Soda Bar, catch Canada's "doom-soul" singer Cold Specks, and at Casbah see local hardcore act New Crimes. This Monday has some legit music offerings so don't make this the night you skip out on the scene or you just might regret it come Tuesday.
