Sounds Like San Diego: November 1

Ms. Lauryn Hill returns to San Diego to cure your post-Halloween doldrums

This year sure has flown by. To celebrate the first of November -- Dia De Los Muertos for our Mexican and Mexican-American friends -- let's take time to honor the many artists, musicians, actors, friends, and the beloved in our own families who may have passed in 2016. You can celebrate the cultural event at the California Center for the Arts, Escondido, or you can walk in the Sherman Heights procession, or other celebrations in our community. After that, it's time for music, as many look forward to the return of Ms. Lauryn Hill, performing at Symphony Hall, or you can tease your punk rock side with the Adicts and Lower Class Brats at the Observatory. SOMA has a solid show with the Devil Wears Prada and Memphis May Fire, or check out Fictionist at Soda Bar or Adult Films (the band) at the Merrow. It's a good night of music if you're up for it after all the Halloween noise has passed us by.
