Friday night is just about as musically diverse as San Diego can get. From the real kickoff to Gator By the Bay and its lovely zydeco and blues music to Sleep Train Amphitheatre hosting the Channel 933 Summer Kick Off with today's biggest pop stars and a whole lot in between, you should be able to find something you love. The incredible Monophonics perform at Winson's, while Prayers get all cholo goth at Brick By Brick. The Euphoria Brass Band does dixie at Seven Grand, and locals Bit Maps and Kalashnikov My Wife keep it indie at the Balboa. Bar Pink goes Irish punk with the Down's Family, The Observatory North Park brings us classic country with Dwight Yoakam, and you can see what happens when metal covers cross with mariachi with Metalachi at the Casbah. There aren't really any bad choices tonight, but you do have to choose, so make your Friday night count.
