I can't figure out what's so special about Wednesday that resulted in so many incredible shows routing through San Diego, but it really doesn't matter. The fact is that as music fans, we have a lot of great choices: Down at the Casbah, get ready to dance to Wildcat! Wildcat!, who seem to tour through frequently but usually as a support act, so you finally get a full set to see them shine. along with the Chain Gang of 1974. Meanwhile, BLKOWL has been stepping up with more and more bookings, and this evening bring French Horn Rebellion to U-31. I only hope they don't confine the band to the stage, because they could really blow up that whole room and make for an insane party. If you want to take a look back, Local H perform at the Hideout, and you should really make sure you catch opener Bad Veins. The truth is, however, that all eyes are on Eagulls. The Leeds band -- besides being brave for even touching that band name -- are making waves across alt-radio circles, and I imagine it won't be long before they're in much-larger venues across the U.S., so here's your chance to catch a band on the rise.
