Now we're talking! Tonight's music options are good ones and it doesn't slow down as we move into the weekend. British singer-songwriter Barns Courtney returns to town with a show at the House of Blues. His unique, soulful tunes are infectious and build anticipation that should make for a great show, while support act, Foxtrax, bring epic anthemic songs that have made them worthy of many 'artist to watch' accolades. Meanwhile at the Casbah, Brooklyn's multi-instrumentalist musician Gabriel Garzón-Montano makes his Kettner Boulevard debut. He's been featured on a Drake mixtape, he opened for Lenny Kravitz's European tour, and he's been repeatedly praised by NPR, Paste, and other highly regarded critics. If you're into soulful grooves, this is the show for you. Around town, Jamaica's Kranium performs at Music Box, locals the Whiskey Circle play the Merrow, and Haunter does a special in-store performance at Normal Records.
