I have been out every night this week, and though I'm slightly worn down, tonight won't offer any break with so many great shows in town. At the Casbah, Bash & Pop are coming out of music retirement after 20 years. The project of Tommy Stinson -- who has a music career dating all the way back to being a teenager when he was in the Replacements, nearly two decades with Guns 'N' Roses, and even time with Soul Asylum -- released a new record in January under the Bash & Pop moniker when a Replacements record never came to be. Known for his unpredictable behavior, this is a show to "watch what happens" as much as for the music. Meanwhile, one of my personal favorites, Lady Lamb, is playing Soda Bar. Beyond a unique and beautiful voice, the Maine-bred artist is a clever wordsmith and has lyrics to prove it. Social D plays their second sold-out night at the Observatory, Dude York plays the Hideout, and Coolio is at Holding Company.
