It feels like in 2016 there has been steady stream of amazing women with guitars. Just this week alone I've been lucky enough to catch some greats, but on Thursday at the Irenic, we get a return visit from Katie Crutchfield, aka Waxahatchee. Her debut San Diego show at the Casbah was incredible, and this time she's back for an all-ages performance. Meanwhile some other ladies, who tend to favor tickling the ivories, are at the Casbah. Liza Anne hails from Atlanta, and she'll be joined by one of our faves, Gayle Skidmore, who relocated to Europe from San Diego but promised to continue to visit. Around town, the Observatory has a reggae show with Anuhea and Through the Roots, it's a rock night at Soda Bar with Dirty Dishes, and Galactic return to the Belly Up with a sold-out show.
